Tech/Engineering - Agriculture / Sprayer
Dutch term or phrase: thule
...beschadiging of vervorming van koppelingen en **thules** of andere plastic delen waardoor de sterkte van koppelingen, **thules** en plastic delen vermindert of de verbinding met de vloeistofslang verslechtert...

This has to do with maintenance on large agricultural equipment. For some background info on the product, see this link (different company, but essentially the same product) http://www.deere.com/en_INT/europe/press/sima700_sprayers.ht...

What I've found so far is that this is some sort of a rubber part, but I'm not exactly sure which part, nor what the translation is.

Explanation:
to be perfectly honest, i do not have the faintest idea what exactly a thule is, but if it looks like this:

( a description of which can be found here:
http://memo-news.nl/toilet.htm )

then it might very well be a reducer....

Explanation:
thule or Thule is a brand name, I think
In Dutch it is quite common to see brand names used as a synonym for items etc.
Thule manufactures all sorts of products for fastening things to bikes, cars etc
