Dutch to English translations [PRO]
Agriculture
Dutch term or phrase: attentie
I'm puzzled by the use of 'attenties in this sentence.

It's from a document regarding the computer-based monitoring of dairy cows.

"De resultaten van mijn onderzoek hebben we kort doorgenomen aan de hand van voorbeeld koe 549. Bij deze koe waren in een periode van 6 weken drie duidelijke pieken te zien die samenvallen met drie inseminaties. Op deze drie pieken wordt lang niet altijd een attentie berekend met de huidige software. Aan de hand hiervan zijn de veranderingen uitgelegd."

Thanks for any help.

(triggered) action

Explanation:
Hi Jon,
just from the context you provide, I'd say the peak is supposed to trigger an action. The 'attentie' would be the triggered action, or maybe just the trigger.
Please note the low level of confidence; I'm (almost?) as puzzled as you are.

agree  Lianne Van De Ven: Inderdaad een gok. De vraag is hoe die pieken "gezien" werden als de software geen "attentie" berekende...
