Dutch term or phrase: rolde uit de bus
Please, help me to understand the sentence by rephrasing it. Because I understand it as the begonia flower fell out of the bus as a winner. :)

Op de Hortifair 2008 rolde de begonia Beleaf ‘African Jungle’ van mKoppebv als winnaar uit de bus

Thank you.

English translation:came out
Explanation:
"Uit de bus rollen" has a sense of emergence about it. It seems to me that “came out” conveys that more than “turned out.”

Notes to answerer
Asker: Where is the bus then?

Asker: ok, you do not need to answer this. It is Non-pro. Eventually, I shall ask someone from Holland, if I meet one in Petersburg.

agree  Textpertise: bus means box. Dutch idiom "To roll out of the box" means "to turn out" in English.

neutral  Chris Hopley: For me, 'turned out' implies that the win was contrary to expectation or against the odds. Cf. usage in first line at http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/90001/90779/6215836.html

als beste uit de bus rollen
the award goes to..., the winner is...

Explanation:
'Als beste uit de bus rollen' is a stock phrase in Dutch which can be rendered into natural English as 'the prize (or award) goes to...' or 'the winner was...'.

E.g.:
-> "This year’s Interpolis Quality Cup went to M. Koppe of Ermelo for a Begonia Beleaf© by the name of ‘African Jungle’."
