Dutch term or phrase: 7-polig trekhaak
Please would let me know: What is the correct translation for a "7-polig trekhaak"? I realize that trekhaak means "towing hook" in English, but what is an accurate translation for "7-polig"? This was listed as an option on a lease car order form. Thank you! Myra

neutral  Louis Vorstermans: ....connection/plug (lianne is right, it'snot the towbar that is 7-pin, but the plug that connects the electrical wiring for lights etc.

Explanation:
Just adding the VS version: trailer hitch (= de trekhaak) and 7-pole (electrical) connector.
De NL source is raar want de electrische koppeling heeft op zich niks te maken met de trekhaak.
