PROCEDURE FOR AERB’s **GREEN SITE** AWARD
This award is instituted by AERB to improve the greenery at and around the DAE units.
1. The award shall be decided based on the highest value of Gx (Greenery). 2. When two or more units have equal value of Gx, the award will be given to the unit having maximum value of Tx. Following methodology is used to decide the winner unit :
Greenery (Gx) = Ex X Tx
Existing greenery of the site (Ex) = (a+b)/(x)
Efforts made for Green site (Tx) = (t1+t2+t3)/(x) Following data is required for assessing the value of Gx.
1. a = Area covered with lawns and gardens.
2. b = Area having tree density more than 200 trees / hector.
3. x = Total area of the plant including attached housing colony site.
4. t1 = No of trees planted in the year 2001.
