Volgens het woordenboek van Transword over Hoger Onderwijs: 'kandidaats' examination{NB:nl} Examen ter verkrijging van de graad van kandidaat. {NB:en} Conducted for the last time in 1986. Only those students who had passed the 'kandidaats' examination could sit the 'doctoraal' examination.
