I find this question very confusing, but if you mean it's just directions for the printer, then kader probably means "inset". Anything that's not part of the main text is put into a separate "kader". I'm busy with a magazine at the moment and the term used there is actually "inzet", no doubt influenced by the English term. Perhaps you have a letter that needs to be inset??

Yes, I translated it as 'frame' given that it only said kader and not kadertext which I thought strange. Thanks anyway

I am not sure what you mean by a kader at the end of an article or paper. Do you mean a box with additional information? That would be a 'tekstkader - text frame' and the text would be 'kadertekst - frame text'.
Or is this old news? :-)
