Dutch term or phrase:behoudens inhoudelijke tariefsaanpassingen
This is from a company website. The whole sentence is as follows. I have spent far too long on this and would be grateful for any help. "De in rekening te brengen tarieven worden BEHOUDENS INHOUDELIJKE TARIEFSAAPASSINGEN telkens met ingang van 1 januari aangepast overeenkomstig de consumentenprijsindex alle huishoudens over de daaraan voorafgaande periode oktober/oktober, met dien verstande dat de bedragen worden afgerond op een veelvoud van € 5." I could have a stab at it but I don't know what they actually mean.
Explanation: I think it means something like: you are rated the set rates, but the company has the right to change these during the stretch of the contract. I know "inhoudelijk" is a problem here, but I have never heard of 'inhoudelijke tarieven' or 'inhoudelijke tariefaanpassingen'. I didn't even know there was much 'inhoud' to rates as they are usually just numbers. So, I think it's one of them "fancy talk" mistakes.

On second thought: I would not use 'internal', because then it becomes a term which is widespread in speed reading (internal rate adjustment), so that entirely changes the context.
Unless you can find out, by calling your agency for example, what 'inhoudelijk' means, I would just drop it and keep: rate adjustments.
And preferably not 'conform to'...Fast reading (being used to having that in contracts a lot) ; it is indeed 'with the exception of'.
So then you get: With the exception of rate adjustments.

@JB: not quite what I meant. Rate increase due to inflation is not unexpected: it happens every 1st of January by a defined formula. It's the *other* (inhoudelijke) ones that can happen any time of the year. More Googles with 'tariefwijzigingen'...
Yes, I did the same search on Google myself. It's not that I don't understand the rest of the sentence, I do, it's just that particular 3-word clause which I don't understand! BTW, thanks to all who have tried to help me crack it so far.
Yes, exactly what I said already: rates can unexpectedly change due to a.o. inflation. Remains: finding out what 'inhoudelijk' means. Google delivers no results whatsoever for either 'inhoudelijke tarieven' or 'inhoudelijke tariefaanpassingen'...
If you think of it: let's say their current rate is 100 and inflation is 3%. Then the new rate will be rounded to 105. Next year, with another 3%, it becomes 110, i.e. a 10% increase instead of the actual 6.1% inflation. What a way to make a living!
What they describe here is automatic indexing of their fees/rates proportional to inflation - so without any real reason ;-). Probably inhoudelijk refers to any other adjustment which they would have to (and are able to) substantiate towards the client.
Well, at the moment I have "apart from content-related fee adjustments", but a) that sounds poor and b) I don't know specifically what that means, fees for a specific ongoing contract?
