Dutch term or phrase: ingangscontrole
A stage in the approval of new packaging for a medicine.
It takes place once the proof has been approved and real packaging produced. It is the stage when the actual packaging is checked against proofs for differences.
The manager "voert op basis van de laatste drukproef een ingangscontrole uit"
Thank you in advance

acceptance test
Explanation:
Googled with 'acceptance test' in combination with 'packaging' minus terms like software, hardware and data, which still results in some 500 hits. Didn't have time to check this out thoroughly, and am not sure at all if this is the correct term in your context.

I put 'acceptance check' in the end, which seemed to fit the context and made sense to me. Thank you!

random sampling

Explanation:
input check as suggested is translated too literally, better fitting to the context would be random sampling. Since.. after the real packaging has already been produced input check has already been done. It's logical to check for any production errors afterwards. And this can be done by random sampling.

It seems that "ingangscontrôle" is a very misleading term in the quality control field.
The University of Wageningen gives a description of this term, which indicates that AFTER a sampling is made, a sample is checked for quality. This last stage is called "ingangscontrole"
Thus, I change my suggestion to QUALITY CHECK

By the way, this term is chosen in a wrong category. In my opinion it should be 'manufacturing'.

Correction:
"Ingangscontrole" is not a misleading term in the quality control field but it is in the given context.
