Velo-city is the name of a conference due to take place in Brussels. It has been split up into these four different 'conferentielijnen' - can anything think of a suitable translation? 'Conference lines' doesn't really sound right to me.

conference tracks
Explanation:
There is often only one main theme, but there can be several tracks (i.e., areas of interest within that theme), each further divided into (concurrent) sessions (i.e., the actual presentations/topics).

Thanks to everyone who responded - I'm going with Tina's suggestion this time since 'conference tracks' seems to be a common expression.

Conference themes

Explanation:
'Themes' looks most natural to me. 'Theme' is used in cases when different elements have a common idea or subject (in this case fietsbeleid/fietsen).

Example sentence(s):
  • It has been split up into these four different conference themes

Well, then you have topics or main topics and themes along 4 lines. You think "conferentielijnen" was original Dutch???

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks. Sorry, I should have put in my original post that later on in the text 'conferentielijnen' is contrasted with 'conferentiethema's', i.e. the main topics are further divided into these so-called lines. Maybe something with 'streams'?
