neutral  writeaway: then what is p.a.?? /in my ref (below), p/a and d.t.v. are used in the same address

  -> "p/a" refers to an address, "d.t.v." refers to a person (see my second note above). "care of" or "by way of" seems appropriate for "d.t.v."; perhaps English needs a better, more specific translation for "p/a" ;-)

agree  Stuart Robertson: door tedoen van. @writeaway: the EN convention requires only c/o, since it is obvious that the recipient (c/o) would be based at the address that follows. IMO, c/o covers the meaning of both p.a. and d.t.v., but it would be unnecessary to write it twice
