The full phrase reads 'De verhuurder behoudt zich het recht voor [...], teneinde er werkelijk zelf een handel in uit te oefenen door een van de personen of personenvenootschappen beantwoorden aan de voorwaarden voorzien in....

It's the bit from 'teneinde' onwards that I'm confused about.

neutral  Deborah do Carmo: George: to just elaborate on what is said above but with no explanation - you can "hold" trade talks, or "hold" a trade secret in confidence but yes, you "practise" a trade. Hope it's clearer now. Regards Debbie
