Dutch term or phrase: kraking
'Bij de kraking wordt ook HCl gevormd dat gebruikt wordt bij de oxychlorering.'

The above is the whole sentence. I have looked all over the place to find a translation for 'kraking' in this context but I did not find it, not even on some chemistry pages.

I appreciate in advance any help you all could give me in this case.
