Absoluut geen idee wat dat in het Engels kan zijn. Pole with holes?? Braces lijkt me ook niet juist, daar het naar een tandbeugel kan verwijzen. Help me ajb uit mijn misère!

Er schijnt een verschil te zijn tussen de standaard Amerikaanse term en de Britse. En het Amerikaans is eig. 'post shores', dat ik eruit heb gehaald van een onovertroefbare meerderheid aan sites. Dus dit komt het dichtst bij in de buurt. Bedankt, allemaal voor het meedenken!

Asker: Lijkt me te lang, onhandig, en niet standaard. Zie opmerking hieronder ook.

Asker: O sorry ik kon niet bovenstaander 'prop' lezen. Heel erg raar maar het werd niet weergegeven op mijn scherm. Maar is prop wel gangbaar - in de bouwkunde?? Ook klusjes en wonen e.d.?

Asker: Maar ik zie ook brace en strut daar staan in die link. Mag ik gewoon kiezen welke ik wil van alle drie? Maakt het niet zoveel uit daar er geen een enkele term is?

Asker: Maar wat is de gestandaardiseerde term voor? Als je bijvoorbeeld op google eentje wou kopen, wat voer je dan in?? Want de termen die jij stelt kunnen naar alles en nog wat refereren lijkt me.

Asker: Wel aardig in de buurt in ieder geval maar als ik erop google en dan op 'afbeeldingen' klik, kom ik dit soort dingen tegen: http://www.tools-rvsupplies.com/images/P/product_photo_113-01.gif http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSVqy1dQdJ9BqddOZIP636PLPf_hKN3oDMINwPurIc6ZERzmfZnxQ&t=1 En die lijken ook niet het soort simpele paaltje waarmee je kan gaan klussen. :/

Asker: Die zijn twee linkjes bovenaan ;) iets ging er mis met de submit-knop? Maar goed ik bedoelde dat er niet met dezelfde regelmaat die simpele paaltjes in beeld komen, maar meer industriële apparatuur. Is dat enkel toeval? Omdat Engels geen standaarde term heeft hiervoor? :o
