Dutch to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / aansturen
Dutch term or phrase: aansturen
It is a text about work descriptions in the transport and repair business. This one is about "de baas", and under "omschrijving van zijn werkzaamheden" it reads a.o. "Het aansturen van de werkvoorbereider voor het benodigde materiaal en onderdelen." I am confused what aansturen means in this context?! Send away, steer, control, get to, survey?! Thank you!

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
agree  Terry John Costin: I'd say something like directing the planning mechanic or engineer, looks like it concerns mechanics in this case, as it is transport, but that isn't certain from the info provided, it could concern more than motor mechanics, could be something all-round.
