fireman's key
Explanation:
A possibility:

...Frame made of special profile, with wall brackets forgrouting-in. Replaceable, frost- and weather-resistantcontinuous rubber seal on frame outside. With operating key of type A, DIN 3223 (fireman’s key)...
(this is, indeed, a translation from German)

...Elevator recall control panel: In the event of a power outage all cars will return to the 1st floor one at a time and the doors will open. Once all cars are at the 1st floor, car #1 will answer calls on the low side and car #5 will answer calls on the high side. In the event of a smoke alarm going off in any elevator lobby, all cars will return to 1st floor, doors will open, at this point the cars will not operate without a fireman´s key...

Thanks to all for your help. I think that 'fireman's key' will do here (just adding a small translator's note as well).

Kind regards,

Ron

Explanation:
unfortunately I can't help you with the English term, but here's a German website which shows the German "Feuerwehrschlüssel", a standardized "key" used by all fire departments throughout Germany.

In elk geval sterkte!

one of the master-keys used by fire fighters

Explanation:
this is how it works in the Netherlands:
When fire fighters have to enter a building, their commmander is provided with a set of keys, which he or his subordinates can use on all different kinds of locks. If a central heating (i.e. a theatre) is omitting more than the average levels of Carbon Monoxide (CO), the commander has the master key to turn off the central heating sytem used. It's the commander's choice who will turn off the system, the key has been provided (in most cases by the janitor)
