Can anyone help me translation the following text?

Een leerkracht basisonderwijs kan ervaringen (her)interpreteren waarbij het bewust worden van een bepaalde handelingsstrategie centraal staat om zo te komen tot nieuwe handelingsperspectieven en een hoger niveau van beroepsuitoefening.

My translation (too formal in my opinion, is it?):
A teacher of primary education is able to (re)interprete experiences; in this process, his focus is on realization of a specific action strategy, in order to reach new action perspectives and a higher level of practicing his/her profession.
