Remarkable is opvallend vanuit een medisch oogpunt gezien, met (en unremarkable-onopvallend) dus ik denk dat dit de beste oplossing is in dit geval.

In Amerika wordt trouwens ook het woord 'special' te pas en te onpas gebruikt voor dit soort dingen, wat aangeeft ' dat er wat mee is.

Asker: Hi Marijke, Dank voor je reactie! Ik weet niet zeker of het hier gaat om kinderen met een 'disorder' of 'disability', of met een medisch probleem dat dit soort gedrag kan verklaren. 'Remarkable' zou ook kunnen slaan op kinderen die buitengewoon goed presteren o.i.d. Deze vertaling moet eigenlijk direct duidelijk maken waar het om gaat, maar dat is lastig, omdat er geen echte context is. Ik neem nog even contact op met de opleiding. Wordt vervolgd!
