geometrical number work Explanation: would be the equivalent of meetkundig rekenen. But I suppose this is about a dyslectic child in primary school so perhaps this is an overdressed solution. measuring number work would be an alternative, but I dont know if it is correct to say this. Simply "number work" perhaps would do. |

counting as you measure Explanation: This is about adding as you "go along". Our son (IQ 74), among many other problems, is also dyslexics. When he was young, I made him measure say 8 cm and then 5 on top of that and then made him "discover" that the two together added to 13. Anyhow, this is how I managed to give him some insight into "rekenen". For what it's worth... |

It doesn't involve true mathematics, it's really a simple form of calculus. I added applied, because 'metend' is used to indicate that the problems represent real-life situations that require some calculations. HTH! |
