Dutch to English translations [PRO] Education / Pedagogy | | Dutch term or phrase: teldatum | | The date on which (in Dutch schools) the number of students is counted to determine funding for the following academic year. The word in context: 'In Nederland wordt een andere teldatum gehanteerd.' One search recommended 'record date' but that sounds a bit vague to me. Any ideas??? |

4 mins confidence: census date
Explanation:
A provider must set a census date for each unit of study it provides or proposes to provide during a year. This date is the point in time when a student's enrolment in a course and the financial obligations for that course must be finalised.

Asker: Thanks Lianne, I think this may be a typical difference between US and UK English! 'Census' to me suggests something more adult; this actually applies to a primary (elementary) school child - but I'll keep considering it...
