Dutch term or phrase: Nederlandse vereniging van leerlingbegeleiders

I am currently translating a short text on school absenteeism, and am having problems with the above term.

Unfortunately there is very little context, as the document only contains a summary of periodicals and trade journals:

"In Nederland zijn vele tijdschriften en vakbladen waarin aandacht wordt besteed aan de aspecten van de aanpak van schoolverzuim en voortijdig schoolverlaten
Voorbeelden zijn:

the examples are only to show it\'s not totally off crazy-they obviously are not the best English but I personally think a solution is somewhere in this direction.
Keeping the original Dutch too may be advisable since it is a specific group.

Explanation:
I'm most familiar with the American terminology in this regard (hence "counselor" with only 1 "l"). The link below indicates that a "leerlingbegeleider" is also called a "schooldecaan", for which Van Dale gives "counselor" or "career counselor". From what I understand, a school counselor's job is a little broader than a career counselor's job.
