Dutch term or phrase: patroontrekker
in het geval er niet met zekerheid kan worden vastgesteld dat de mespatronen spanningsloos zijn gebruik dan een gelaatscherm en -helm en pas een patroontrekker toe die is voorzien van een leren handschoen. In het geval dat met zekerheid is vast te stellen dat de mespatronen niet stroomvoerend zijn, dan is het gebruik van een goed gekeurde mespatroontrekker zonder leren handschoen toegestaan mits er geen kans op sluiting is (klapscheiders). Let echter wel op de spanningsvoerende delen. Gebruik eventueel rubberhandschoenen om de kans op elektrocutie te verkleinen

A 'patroon' is a cartridge fuse.

A fuse puller with leather gloves should be used when pulling a fuse from a live circuit to protect the user's hand from possible arcs.

Ref 1:

Insulated tools and equipment (NFPA 70E): The use of insulated tools is required when working with energized or exposed parts. The voltage present must not exceed the rated voltage of the tool under use.

* Fuse-handling equipment, such as a fuse puller, must be used to remove fuses. Using a fuse puller also helps prevent scuffed knuckles.

* Note: Never remove a fuse when electrical current is flowing through it. Removing a fuse under load may generate a dangerous arc.
