direct current emergency power supply Explanation: which would mainly include batteries, but could also be another form coupled via a transformer -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2006-04-10 15:54:01 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- biologically/environmentally firendly powered turbine - e.g. chicken or other manure powered/water powered/ wind-powered or even people powered (remember the treadmill song - to me hip fol the daa, etc.) not all turbine power generators produce AC power - they can also produce DC power - it depends on whether or not you have a transformer around or not? Computer equipment actually runs on DC power at he other side of its 'power supply' which include a transformer - laptops run on DC power - converted from AC if you have a mains cable. Stand up for your right to have some DC power - you know it doesn't alternate - or waver in direction! ;-{)> |
