Dutch to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Engineering (general) | | Dutch term or phrase: systeemvisie | I'm translating a job advert for an engineer. This contains the following section of text:
"De Engineer is verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerp van motor, versnellingsbak, aandrijf- en stuuras en koel systemen. Hierbij gaat het om het combineren van een heldere systeemvisie met het uitwerken van designs."
The same text later says:
"De taken van de Standard Products Engineer zullen onder meer bestaan uit:
Het (mede) ontwikkelen van een state-of-the-art visie op de systemen."
I'm not entirely sure that I understand what is meant by "systeemvisie" in the first piece of text. Is this the engineer's "vision" of how the system should be, or more his familiarity with the system? Any suggestions of a suitable alternative in English? |
