| Grading comment There has been some misunderstanding about the meaning of the term "verdeeldheid" in the context of the sentence, it did not refer to some sort of conflict (this would have been easy) but to geographical "verdeeldheid". You (accidentially) came up with the right answer by quoting the bible, it is dispersion! 3 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |

Explanation: I would call it discord among the people, or a difference in opinion between the gypsies and the Jews.

Asker: There has been some misunderstanding about the meaning of the term "verdeeldheid" in the context of the sentence, it did not refer to some sort of conflict (this would have been easy) but to geographical "verdeeldheid". Barend (accidentially) came up with the right answer by quoting the bible, it is dispersion! And so, even though you came up with better terms, I had to award the points to him. As to the comments about the collective karma of jew and gypsies, I want to clarify that the collective karma of these 2 people is quite positive: (ignoring the fact that the concept of karma does not encourage viewing it as either as positive or negative, this is an emotional perspective, karma is merely spiritual schooling) the karma of being dispersed of the jews and gypsies actually has to do with a connective task: part of their karma is to connect different cultures. I wanted to clarify this to not give the impression that esoterism promotes prejudice views as is sometimes thought. Finally, I want to thank you for your participation in this question.
