I am translating a series of SPD certificates. Most of it is straight forward, but this is one of the subjects, but I cannot find either a translation or a description of what this course is about. Just knowing what the course is about would be helpful, I've got no more then a certificate stating that the person has passed.

FWIW: Don't forget the tendency in Dutch to reverse the order of adjectives compared to English - e.g. "verzekeringstechnischelasten' becomes technical insurance expenses [or costs].

economic and technical phenomena

Explanation:
Why not "economic and technical phenomena"? "Economic-technical" also exists, but the majority of the hits put it as "economic and technical"

Dear all,
I have by now found that subject is about general economics and the flow of goods and money. In other words; macro economic subjects in so far as relevant for businesses.

Economic-technical indications/indicators

Explanation:
Verschijnslen = phenomenon, symptoms. Syn. of symptoms = indication which led to my answer.

Economic indicator:

Statistical data showing general trends in the economy. Those with predictive value are leading indicators; those occurring at the same time as the related economic activity are coincident indicators; and those that only become apparent after the activity are lagging indicators. Examples are unemployment, housing starts, Consumer Price Index, industrial production, bankruptcies, GDP, stock market prices, money supply changes, and housing starts. Also called business indicators.

Technical indicator:

Short-term trends that technical analysts use to predict future price movements of securities and/or commodities. Also called technicals.
