Gunter werkte acht jaar voor de Amerikaanse producent van industriële wasmachines X, die ondermeer het Belgische Y overnam. Toen X een financieringsmaatschappij oprichtte om de investeringen van haar klanten in wasmachines te prefinancieren, stelde zich een probleem. X wilde dit financieringsvehikel financieren met schulden, die echter buiten balans moesten blijven om de consolidatie en bedrijfswaardering van X niet te **bezwaren**.

FEL gives various options for bezwaren (encumber, charge [as security], burden, mortgage, pledge, create encumbrances) but I'm not sure which, if any, is the best solution with 'consolidation and business valuation' here and googling hasn't turned up anything. Does it just mean 'adversely affect'?

ja, dit zal dan heel wat problemen scheppen en de per aandeel R.O.I. verminderen, de waarde van de Mpij negatief beinvloeden, het moelijker maken om krediet van de bank te krijgen enz. enz.
ik stel voor to load om aan te duiden dat het de B/S ZWAARDER maakt.
