De constante kosten worden verdeeld over de afzet, die geldt bij normale bezetting.Daar in tegen kan de werkelijke bezetting ook groter zijn dan de normale bezetting. Dit kan zijn door dezelfde externe factoren, zoals klimaat en de economie.
