Dutch term or phrase: gezamelijke inkoop
Hi,

I'd appreciate it very much if anybody could give me suggestions for "gezamelijke inkoop".
The term is used in the following sentence:

Family offices kunnen hulp bieden aan:

Families die een efficiënte kostenstructuur willen opzetten door gezamenlijke inkoop.

The context is families of wealth and the services that this particular Family Office offers. It's the translation of their website. I considered mutual purchases but I'm doubting if this is the ideal solution.
Thank you for your time.

joint/cooperative purchasing
Explanation:
Mutual would mean that they purchase from each other but that's not the case here. They are purchasing together from third parties.

agree  TechLawDC: "collective" has a communist connotation; "group" is fraught with ambiguities and/or colloquialsim; "consolidated" means joint among companies in a group of affiliated companies (e.g. under a holding company)

In group buying, when buyers cooperate with each other, a seller can discount the price of a good. In many existing group buying sites, some sellers deal in the same sort goods or their imitations. Buyers form coalitions for each item on sale. Buyers cannot always purchase goods at a lower price, because buyers? sub-groups are distributed. Buyers need to search hard to find the goods they can purchase. In this paper, we propose a group buying marketplace on the Internet. In our marketplace, buyers can purchase goods at a lower price by forming coalitions.

agree  writeaway: google hits aren't necessarily an indicator (peanut butter gets millions more but it's not correct ;-) ) in any case this is the obvious translation into English. to quote George Clooney, what else?
