Saskia: only you, the answerer or a moderator can. It's actually quite easy, there's a button on your page (as the asker) if you look hard enough - otherwise ask a mod. - it would be best to have the correct term for the benefit of future users.
Saskia, you can change the glossary and/or asker can change it. look at the email/url you had when you closed the question. go back to that you can edit the glossary. Asker can edit it too. No one else can.
With all due respect, the glossary is there for other users in the future, so the comments are very useful even after closing. From that perspective, it not too late - in fact the sooner it is changed into EN, the better. Thanks in advance.
1. The client wasn't going to wait 24 hours!!! 2. I don't need any English and English was irrelevant. I adjusted the answer into English. As a bi-lingual native Dutch and English speaker, I was able to manage all the Dutch and Flemish that came at me, although the question was a Dutch into English question!!
This is why they recommend waiting 24 hours before closing questions. People don't always have time to do Kudoz. You closed early and did not wait for peer comments or any suggestions in English. In fact there was no English involved in this question.
It is not very useful when you come along with your comments after the question has been closed, the points have been awarded, the entry has been made and the translation sent to the client!! Everybody else helps when I need the help, it's too late now as far as I'm concerned.
You can go back and change the glossary entry-from the same place you made the initial entry. sorry, but I can't help you word questions in Dutch-I only write in English. here's how you can add accents: http://www.lookuptables.com/ use second table. :-)
You are right completely as to the term steak tartare it is not as spicy or finely ground, writeway, but I don't know how to change the glossary entry. I only said that the word prepare is derived from the French, not the term for the product. Perhaps you would like to phrase my questions for me in future, as you know better what I should have said. In het nederlands is het filet americain en het is verkrijgbaar in een hete versie. Er is ook taraar in 2 versies, dus dat exclusief Belgische recept klopt niet helemaal, alleen de terminologie.
you should correct the glossary entry; the word is préparé. and it's 100% Belgian-term may be French but it's not used in France in this sense. In English we say steak tartare.
