Dutch to English translations [PRO] Food & Dairy / food
Dutch term or phrase:woorstenbroodje dicht
Just when I thought writeaway had solved the "saucijzenbroodje/woorstenbroodje"
conundrum by suggesting "frankfurter", I come across "woorstenbroodje open" and "woorstenbroodje dicht"
open-faced and ??? Would it be sort of like a pig-in-a-blanket, baked in dough?
Explanation: even though these are usually smaller than what I imagine a 'worstenbroodje dicht' to be, I can't think of another solution. And a worstenbroodje open would probably be............a hot dog! :) 0r frankfurter in a roll......I'm assuming this is for a menu for a 3-michelin star restaurant? :)

I just don\'t think it\'s easy (or necessary?) to translate all of these typically Dutch \'treats\' - maybe describe them in brackets afterwards?
