Dutch term or phrase: een onschuldige hand
Company is holding a competition in its staff magazine, asking the sort of question that anyone with have a brain could answer... How would you phrase this in plain, simple language? "Independent adjudicator" springs to mind, but it's so formal! Friendly, informal language required.

Uit alle juiste antwoorden laten we een onschuldige hand de winnaar trekken.

I actually went with "impartial observer", as outsider possibly suggests someone outside the company. Prefer impartial to neutral. Thanks, everyone.

Als je deze Vlaamse uitdrukking met een knipoog wilt vertalen zou dit een optie kunnen zijn. Als het echter bloedserieus is bedoeld (hangt van de toonzetting van het magazine af) kies je misschien toch liever voor an independent person/party
