Bus/Financial - General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
Dutch term or phrase: kortgesloten
A department (OP) wants a change made to a report that is produced by a computer system. It passes the request to department FB. FB sees that this requires a change to the definition of a database table. FB passes a request to department FAB to do this. Then comes the sentence:
"Dit wijzigingsverzoek wordt vooraf nog kortgesloten met OP."
Does this mean that OP was "told about" the request before it was submitted or does it imply some sort of shortcut being taken or what... the expression "kept in the loop" comes to mind.

Thanks Maria and all other contributors. This indeed nice ans simple and gets the idea that the request is discussed again with the original department before it is submitted.

Explanation:
Hi Brian; I would say it goes beyond "keeping in the loop", which would indicate the purpose of informing. "Kortsluiten" also suggests some feedback.

back-checked

Explanation:
Back-checked (with or without hyphen) means to go back to the original party to see if anything has changed/ new information is available.

Google is not much help here because most hits are for the term as used in hockey (defending while skating backwards toward your own goal). Nevertheless you can see a certain similarity in meaning.
