Dutch term or phrase: nareizigers
Tricky trying to find a concise translation that conveys the meaning for use in a table. It comes up in various forms (nareis, nareizigers, nareisende gezinsleden) in my text, which concerns 'gezinsmigratie' (family reunification and family formation), with particular reference to the MVV (machtiging tot voorlopig verblijf) and the asielvergunning. Depending on the context, I've been paraphrasing it along these lines: 'later entry into the Netherlands by family members of the main asylum seeker' / 'later entry into the Netherlands' / 'family members subsequently joining the main asylum seeker'. Trouble is these are OK in the context of asylum seekers, but not every nareiziger is reuniting with an asylum seeker. Could be a 'kennismigrant', for instance. So something general is needed for the final table:

These types of immigrants are collectively known as dependants because their claim for leave to remain depends on someone else's (partner, spouse, parent, etc.) claim.

In the context of this table (where reunification/formation are already mentioned), this works just fine and I've now introduced it earlier in the text as well to pave the way. Also a fair number of hits for family reunification/reunion and family formation migrants if something more specific is required. Thanks a lot.

family reunion migrants

Explanation:
I've seen the term 'family reunion (or reunification) migrants' on this website... It only refers to migrants who come to join family, though. But are you sure that 'nareizenden' can mean 'kennismigrant'? It seems to me that these are two different things...
A difficult one!

(After Moira's note): oh I see! Hm I still think that this term would cover that, too (because they all come to join family, no matter what type of immigrant that family member is). Let's see what other people have to say...

Asker: Sorry, I phrased that slightly ambiguously. I meant that the nareizigers might be joining asylum seekers or another type of migrant e.g. kennismigrant.

neutral  Olly Pekelharing: Wouldn't this group also include dependants born, or otherwise joining the migrant, in the new country, thus certainly not 'nareizigers'?

-> Would include anyone with an 'afhankelijke verblijfstitel'
