Het meest belangrijke middel om taal te communiceren zijn letters. Het zijn abstracte composities van rechte, schuine en gebogen lijnen. Ze worden gebruikt als langgerekte zitbanken, als plantenvakken (onder meer beplant met irissen), als waterspiegels en fonteinen.
