Eh? Problem analysis, you're all thinking. Just seems a bit "heavy" in the context. Employers are required to pay sick employees sick pay for a period of two years, during which various steps have to be taken at specific times.

Dag 1: De werknemer meldt zich ziek bij de werkgever.
Week 1: De werkgever geeft de ziekmelding door aan de arbodienst.
Week 6-8: De arbodienst maakt een **probleemanalyse** en geeft een reïntegratieadvies.
Week 8: De werkgever en de zieke werknemer maken samen (op schrift) een plan van aanpak voor de reïntegratie op basis van de **probleemanalyse** of het reïntegratieadvies van de arbodienst.

I'm thinking of just using "report", but wondered if anyone had any other options up their sleeve.

How about: "Week 6-8: The health and safety service prepares a report, which includes an assessment of the problem and a recommendation on the employee's rehabilitation options. ... Based on this report, the employer and the employee...".

agree  Deborah do Carmo: would never use problem analysis/identification - one has to stand back with these terms, think about the context and ask yourself how would this actually be said in English, not transliterate
