Dutch to English translations [PRO] Human Resources | | Dutch term or phrase: Opvolgingsmanagement | I am currently working on an HRM translation, and am struggling with the above term.
The context is as follows:
"Hebben jouw medewerkers de capaciteit in huis om doelstellingen te behalen en is de kennis ook gewaarborgd? Verlaten sleutelmedewerkers je organisatie? Dit zijn de vraagstukken als het over personeelsplanning en opvolgingsmanagement gaat. Je HR-adviseur kan je helpen met het in kaart brengen van je personeelsbehoeften en opvolgingsvraagstukken."
Could/Should this term be translated literally (i.e. "follow-up management")?
All suggestions welcome - KudoZ points will be awarded within 72 hours.
Many thanks,

| | Succession management | Explanation: Since this is related to HRM, it could be referring to succession planning or succession management.

"Een specifiek aspect van leiderschapsontwikkeling is opvolgingsmanagement. Bij het ontstaan van een vacature aan de top van uw bedrijf is het van belang de context in beschouwing te nemen...."
The English page of the same website:
"A specific aspect of management development is succession management. When a vacancy occurs at the top of your company, it is important to consider it in context..." |
