Dutch term or phrase: Profielbepaling
once again the glossary had 0. So, I'd like to know if this apparently common NL (HR ?) term can be translated as profile requirements and if not how please.
TIA

profile
Explanation:
Please note that they are talking about "komen tot een juiste profielbepaling". They man just "profiel" or better "profielschets", to translate with "profile"

Once again, everybody's input was very helpful. This term came up a lot as it turned out and sometimes profile requirements was the best solution. But finding out I could just use 'profile' was a big help, also in terms of style, since it was used so often. I also appreciate the peers' comments.
Thank you everyone!

profile requirements/specifications

Explanation:
Yes, profile requirements is fine. Otherwise profile specifications - there's not really enough context given to decide.

agree  Chris Hopley: Absolutely! The -bepaling is just an incidence of establishing a profile. It is the profile itself that they're actually talking about here.

agree  Tina Vonhof: You're absolutely right. A profile is already a description/definition/specification.

qualifications profile / (job) requirements profile

Explanation:
"profile" alone (as Henk suggested) probably works best IMO. It's general, neutral, doesn't leave you the mess of specifics that could be wrong... But in any case I found several websites, some using "profielbepaling" w.r.t. focus groups and target audiences for marketing, and some used it in terms of HR when it was in terms of a candidate profile for a job.

Considering the 2nd example you gave, it seems to me this is with respect to the list of required qualifications for a potential employee, which is what a profielbepaling is according to http://www2.vlaanderen.be/ned/sites/werk/vio97p2.htm. They write "vereiste kwalificaties" in contrast to a vacatureprofiel which is the list of desired qualifications (qualifications you don't necessarily _have_ to possess, but would be a plus if you have them - hence, "gevraagde kwalificaties").

In such instances "qualifications profile" and "requirements profile" would be my suggestions... and a few websites I have found seem to agree with the terminology. I'm no HR expert, so I'm not the inside guy on HR jargon. Seems to work, however.

Hope this helps

B
