In Dutch, this is more commonly known as a 'waarnemingstoelage'.
There may be occasions where you are asked to temporarily undertake some or all of the duties of another job normally paid at a higher grade. For example, this may be to cover a vacancy. Where this is the case, an acting allowance will be payable. The sum payable is then based on the difference between your current salary and the salary payable for the higher grade (normally at the minimum level).
