Dutch term or phrase: waarnemingspremie
I'm sure someone out there knows a nice, common term for this in English.

Een werknemer komt in aanmerking voor een waarnemingspremie indien gedurende minimaal vijf dagen belast met de waarneming van de functie voorman wordt belast.

acting allowance
Explanation:
Or: temporary responsibility allowance (TRO)
In Dutch, this is more commonly known as a 'waarnemingstoelage'.

There may be occasions where you are asked to temporarily undertake some or all of the duties of another job normally paid at a higher grade. For example, this may be to cover a vacancy. Where this is the case, an acting allowance will be payable. The sum payable is then based on the difference between your current salary and the salary payable for the higher grade (normally at the minimum level).

What is a Temporary Responsibility Allowance?
