De werkgever neemt als eerste een conclusie . De beslissing wordt geacht op tegenspraak te zijn gewezen ten opzichte van de niet-verschenen partij of de partij die geen conclusies heeft genomen binnen de door de voorzitter vastgelegde termijnen. Zij wordt uitgesproken binnen een periode van acht dagen die volgt op de sluiting van de debatten.

Uitstel kan slechts één keer worden verleend. Het kan worden toegekend op grond van een met redenen omkleed verzoek en kan maximum acht dagen bedragen.

Bij middel van conclusies kan om een getuigenverhoor verzocht worden. Dit verzoek bevat de naam, voornamen, woonplaats of, bij ontstentenis daarvan, de plaats van tewerkstelling van de getuigen. Voor het overige gelden de normale procedureregelen zoals vastgelegd in het Gerechtelijk Wetboek.
