"seniority leave" is fine without "allowance". I just think Kate's explanation was slightly misconstrued. Were it to be construed as granting someone leave as a function of age, it seems more likely than not that it would violate anti-discrimination laws. They definitely would in the US, and I assume they would in Belgium and the Netherlands also. See: Europese Commissie Richtlijn 2000/78/EC
