Dutch to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Human Resources / coach training / HR speak
Dutch term or phrase: werksturing
my context:

'R&D is een organisatie van professionals

• Resultaat gerichte sturing in plaats van werksturing*
• Verantwoordelijkheden op het juiste niveau neerleggen
• Nadruk op rollen en relaties, niet op niveaus
• Managen door middel van probleemstelling en faciliteren.'

-----------------
I was thinking of translating the particular fragment of HR speak my term appears in ('Resultaat gerichte sturing in plaats van werksturing') as 'Managing by results orientation instead of work'. That is, translating 'Resultaat gerichte sturing' as 'managing by results orientation', where 'werksturing' then becomes 'managing by work'... Hmm.

Any suggestions from an HR veteran would be most welcome!

Asker: Thanks Josephine! What would you say to 'Results-based instead of task-based management.'?

agree  Tina Vonhof: A good description but I think HR would use a more 'compact' version of it.

for task-based management:

Sorry, I missed the one for task-based management:

http://books.google.ca/books?id=ZoKZAvk49EQC&pg=PA60&lpg=PA6...

This required a little searching, because many of the references on the internet referred to software programs for various types of task-management rather than management in business.
