Explanation:
"overdekking" in this context does not mean that the cover is larger than the actual insured sum (similar to "oververzekerd"), which would be "over cover", but it means that your regular cover is not sufficient (so basically you would be "onderverzekerd") and an additional clause allows an extended cover.

Explanation:
A pretty wild guess...

Woordenboek Verzekeringsbedrijf [Vermeij/Kluwer Bedrijfsinformatie] renders 'overdekkingsclausule' as 'increase/decrease clause'. Not very helpful, I'm afraid. Looking just that bit further than the length of my nose (yes, of course... Dunglish), it renders 'dekking' as 'cover'. Hope this helps...
