Explanation:
According to Art 1829 of the Netherlands Civil Code, "Lastgeving is eene overeenkomst, waarbij iemand aan eenen anderen de magt geeft, en deze aanneemt, om eene zaak voor den lastgever, in deszelfs naam, te verrigten" (spelling taken from my hardcopy version of the Burgelijk Wetboek). "Authorized agent" is just as acceptable however.
