Dutch term or phrase: belast
Vragen in een formulier dat ingevuld moet worden door iemand die in het buitenland woont, maar in Nederland belasting moet betalen over zijn pensioen:

Vraag: "Heeft u of uw partner een kapitaalverzekering eigen woning?"

Volgende vraag: "Bevat de kapitaalverzekering een rente-bestanddeel dat belast is doordat u bent geëmigreerd? (U kunt dit navragen bij uw verzekeringsmaatschappij)"

Ik begrijp niet wat 'belast' hier betekent. Moet hij over dat rentebestanddeel belasting betalen? En wat heeft emigratie ermee te maken?

In some countries, if not most, you have to pay taxes on the income of a capital insurance/ life insurance, etc, once you start receiving these incomes.
