Bus/Financial - Insurance / Property | | Dutch term or phrase: een interventie in eerste rang | We are talking here about a translation of a specific sentence in a Dutch (Flemish) insurance document, discussing "foutloze schade." The preceding sentence is: "...Deze schade dient dan ook beoordeeld te worden als foutloze schade, art. 544 van het Burgerlijk Wetboek." De sentence in question [that follows] is "Uw maatschappij dient bijgevolg een interventie in eerste rang te voorzien."
"...in eerste rang..." is as far as I know most often used with mortgages, where a first mortgage is first in place. Not sure how that would apply here. |
