| | Joint Funding for over-representation of Elderly National Health Participants and Access to Medical | Explanation: Joint Funding for over-representation of Elderly National Health Participants
(Wet medefinanciering oververtegenwoordiging oudere ziekenfondsverzekerden — WMOOZ)
Under this Act the increased cost of compulsory national health insurance resulting from the elderly being temporarily over-represented is jointly financed by those insured under the other health insurance systems. For the purposes of implementing the Act, the PVK is responsible for deciding whether or not a particular action or group of actions constitutes a medical insurance activity.
Access to Medical Insurance Act 1998
(Wet op de toegang tot ziektekostenverzekeringen 1998 - WTZ 1998)
The purpose of this Act is to provide a clearly identified target group with the opportunity to take out proper medical expenses insurance cover with a private health insurer. The Act was changed by a bill dated 1 July 1998 in connection with a review of the cost allocation system, the functioning of the administration agency and the supervision of this by the Pensioen- & Verzekeringskamer (pensions and insurance supervisory authority of the Netherlands, PVK)
