agree  Textpertise: Except that in UK English, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, you should also use a "z" and not an "s".

agree  Jack den Haan: ... but no, it's not one of those, as Henk points out. @Textpertise: Despite what the OED says, current UK English usage in words of this nature seems to be an 's', not a 'z'.

Explanation:
It's hard to say without knowing the context, but I find this word most often used in Dutch IT texts in the sense of "configured / configuring" (or "customized / customizing"). "Parameterized" is also used, but generally only at a very low level. (You could refer to a programming code procedure that is sent parameters as a "parameterized procedure".)
