must-read magazine

Explanation:
"Donald Duck - the must-read magazine for kids!"

OK, I'll get the ball rolling, although I'm sure we can come up with something better.

"must-read" is an epithet commonly used to advertise magazines, see http://www.google.com/search?q="must-read magazine"

(I can't guarantee that all these 19,600 hits are relevant...)

Whether any magazine for children could properly be described as "must-read" is a moot point, but I suppose the marketing department of said publication might argue that it is.

Other options might be "Donald Duck - kids' favourite magazine!" (the Van Dale translation), "Donald Duck - the most popular magazine for kids!", "Donald Duck - essential reading for kids!" etc.

The above assumes you want to refer to the publication as a magazine; I think in the UK it would be more likely to be called a "comic" (US: "comic book").

agree  Lawyer-Linguist: funny I only get 7 hits (googled as "fave mag"), but that's besides the point, the translation still works// I must be doing something wrong (long day or maybe just thick as two short planks), anyhow translation works, google isn't the be all and end all

-> Very strange: if you enter it as a whole phrase search, you definitely get 4480 (I've double checked).

agree  Neil Cross: Yeah, that's a phat translation (see, I'm down with the kids too).
