I've got a feeling this is very simple, but it keeps bothering me in this excerpt below. And I can only find one treffer on google - which is no help at all.

This is simply an employment contract between a company and a potential employee... talking about the work location, hours, and company activities having no essential bearing on the work agreement, considering that could always change without influencing the actual job as described in the contract. For example... if they relocate offices, or give him the night shift instead of the day shift, he still will be doing the same work, regardless.

"De arbeidsplaats, de diensturen en de organisatie van de bedrijfsactiviteiten maken voor de Tweede Partij, naar zij erkent, geen essentiele arbeidsvoorwaarden uit, zodat de overbrenging van de bedrijfsactiviteit naar een andere plaats, de wijziging der diensturen, de verandering of reorganisatie van de bedrijfsactiviteiten niet kunnen worden beschouwd als wijzigingen aan de essentiefe arbeidsvoorwaarden van de Tweede Partij."

Thanks! The confusion for me came using zij as the object of "naar" in reference to the second party. In any case, I eventually left it in the middle because the client wants it to be readable more or less 1-1 with the original. And compared with the way the rest of the contract is written, I don't think the idea is for it to be clear... but rather to be as confusing as possible, so that the company offering the contract is protected by the confusing terminology. grrr... but thanks for the clarification.
